I was a Code Enforcement Officer for the Town of Flower Mound for several years prior to changing career paths to IT. The IT Director noticed no work needed to be done for the Enforcements Officers. He offered me a job in his department upon finding out that I was maintaining the departments systems. It was a basic, learning on the job, position.
